::AFTA to strengthen industry relationships in 2010::
Qantas Wednesday hosted the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) Board for their end of year board meeting, and the association is hoping that the token of friendship signals a stronger working relationship for 2010.
“AFTA is extremely appreciative of the ongoing support that Qantas and its executives have provide us and look forward to a stronger working relationship in 2010,” said Jayson Westbury, AFTA CEO.
During the meeting The AFTA Board discussed the difficulties of the year past as well as initiatives for 2010, paying particular attention to the review into consumer protection in the travel industry. AFTA will be encouraging discussion with representatives of the industry and other stakeholders as it prepares its full submission to the Government Review.
