APT is reporting “close to 100 percent” increase in sales for 2013 over 2012 which were 100 per cent up on 2011.
According to APT’s General Manager Marketing, Debra Fox, APT therefore was looking at a bright 2013 season.
“Our premium all-inclusive style of holidays in China have strong support, which is why we have increased departures of our most popular tour, the 13-day Best of China, by 50 per cent,” she said.
In all, APT offers nine tours (choice of total 67 departures), 37 of which include the four-day Yangtze cruise on the 62-suite The Sanctuary MS Yangzi Explorer. APT says the ship offers the largest suites on the river, highest staff to guest ratio and wine, beer and soft drink included with lunch and dinner)
APT is also reporting strong interest in the new 11-day Yunnan Adventure, a tour inspired by Luke Nguyen’s Greater Mekong television series.
The celebrity chef, APT’s Asia Ambassador, visited Yunnan as part of the TV series. He will escort the Yunnan Adventures’ August 26 departure over six days in the province.
APT has also listed three more China-Vietnam combination tours (ranging from 21 to 35 days) and three more China land-only tours (9 to 19 days).
