[11 October 2012:] In his first 100 days as General Manager, Travelscene American Express, David Padman has restructured the organisation to become more Member-centric, streamlined his leadership team, revamped the Marketing approach, and boosted Member resources while stressing the important role of driving value to Suppliers.
During the upcoming Owners Managers Conference (OMC) being held in Santa Monica on the 14-15 October 2012, he will report back to Members and Suppliers on the significant steps made towards ensuring Travelscene American Express’ success.
“Our OMC theme is ‘Make It Happen’ and these two days are our opportunity at a group, Member and Supplier level to take stock of where we are, to appreciate, and acknowledge the steps already taken towards achieving our goals, and to outline our roadmap for success moving forward,” Mr Padman said.
“The OMC agenda is designed to inform, motivate, and engage. It’s also an agenda which reflects my commitment to our Members, to working with them on our shared priorities of maximising buying power & margins, growing our customer base, and networking. It’s an agenda which reinforces my vision to ensure Travelscene American Express remains THE best home for a Travel Agent in Australia.”
“Travelscene American Express is unique in that we provide Members with the flexibility to manage their business their way while accessing the many significant benefits that come from being a part of our group. Concurrently, we need to focus on providing support to our Members that they value, and we need to work harder to capture, measure, and demonstrate the value that we, as a Group, deliver to our Suppliers.”
In addition to updating Members on progress, Mr Padman will outline his 90 day plan and business priorities, the achievements over the past year, and the opportunities that lie ahead.
