As part of an alluring series of Australia and New Zealand Crystal Cruises on offer in early 2013, the 13-night, Kiwis and Koalas cruise from Auckland to Sydney, departing January 28, will feature a bespoke itinerary for bridge players.
Designed by Cove Travel, Queensland, the special interest bridge cruise aboard sophisticated Crystal Symphony will be hosted by leading Brisbane-based bridge teacher, Joan Butts, and renowned player Paul Wyer, both of whom have represented Australia in competitions internationally. Together with two other bridge experts, Simon Hinge from Melbourne and Kim Morrison from Sydney, they were the winners for 2012 of the celebrated Coffs Harbour Gold Congress. Joan Butts and Paul Wyer look forward to the convivial company of like-minded guests who will have the opportunity to make the most of their passion for bridge in a relaxed holiday setting. Featuring on the programme are 10 modern bridge lessons, and 13 tournaments and games for players of all levels – from beginners to advanced.
Commencing in Auckland with a welcome dinner and overnight at a stylish city hotel, the leisurely tour will continue on with a spectacular 13-night cruise through sparkling New Zealand waters to Sydney. Highlights en-route include Tauranga, Napier, Wellington, Picton, Christchurch and Dunedin, and two days exploring breathtaking Dusky, Doubtful and Milford Sounds.
On board guests may enjoy all of the luxurious details of a Crystal experience, including superb food at a choice of dining venues including the elegant Crystal Dining Room, the Asian-inspired Silk Road and The Sushi Bar, as well as Italian Prego.
