Hertz Australia has expanded its operations to the Queensland regional town of Moranbah, 200 kilometres south-west of Mackay, to support the region’s increasing coal mining operations. Hertz is the largest worldwide airport general use car rental brand, operating from approximately 8,500 locations in 146 countries, including over 200 locations in Australia.
The company has just launched two new rental locations; at the new Moranbah Airport (daily operations) and in the town centre at 25 Bacon Street (open on weekdays and Saturdays).
The expansion of the Hertz presence and facilities in Moranbah has been designed and timed to accommodate both the growth in the region’s coal mining operations and in flights to the town, the hub of the region’s resources community.
Moranbah is one of the fastest-growing resources centres in Queensland, and is experiencing increasing visits from business travellers.
The Hertz vehicle inventory in Moranbah ranges from commercial vehicles including Toyota Land Cruisers, Prados and dual-cab Hilux utilities to a range of small to full-size sedans, large SUVs, 12-seater vans, people movers and four wheel drives.
