Vanuatu Tourism Office has launched its new online training programme this week. Every agent who successfully completes the modules will not only become a Vanuatu expert, but will have the chance to win a spot on an agent famil later this year.
Just a short flight from Australia’s east coast, Vanuatu has established its position as one of the top South-Pacific island destinations for Australian travellers. 2012 is already seeing a positive increase in figures with 15% more Australian visitors from January to June compared with the same period in 2011.
Linda Kalpoi, general manager at Vanuatu Tourism Office hopes that the new online training will help agents advise their clients what is on offer in Vanuatu in a clear manner.
“Being just a short flight from Australia’s east coast, Vanuatu has established its position as one of the top South-Pacific island destinations for Australian travellers and we want to offer travel agents all the tools they need in order to confidently sell the destination to their clients.
Through this training, agents will learn that Vanuatu offers a perfect balance of beach resort style relaxation, authentic cultural discovery and stunning geographic beauty, with endless soft adventure activities for couples and families alike. Agents will learn about the main islands of Efate, Tanna and Espiritu Santo as well as outer islands of Malekula and Pentecost,” Ms Kalpoi states.
At the end of each module agents have to answer questions correctly and those agents who successfully complete the programme by 15 October 2012 will become a Vanuatu Expert and entered into the draw to win a spot on a famil, which is taking place at the end of November 2012.
