Naracoorte Caves will be transformed into South Australia’s “Opera House” when Australia’s most talented young opera singers perform a special underground show on Saturday 11 February.
Presented by Australian Air Holidays, Opera in the Caves will feature soloists from Opera Scholars Australia performing well known arias, duets and ensembles inside Blanche Cave, part of the world-heritage listed Naracoorte Caves.
Australian Air Holidays is offering charter flights to this prestigious event from Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Adelaide.
“To be in this beautifully lit natural amphitheatre at dusk as it is filled with some of Australia’s most glorious young voices is mind-blowing,” Australian Air Holidays Malcolm Reed says.

Australian Air Holidays has designed three separate itineraries including private charter flights to Mt Gambier on board a Fokker 50, coach transfers, comfort plus accommodation, all meals, sightseeing at iconic destinations on the Limestone Coast and premium seating at Opera in the Caves.

Three-day tours depart on 10 February and all-inclusive fares cost $1,945 ex Melbourne, $2,045 ex Sydney and Canberra, $2,145 ex Brisbane and $1,745 ex Adelaide based on per person, twin share. A five-day tour departs Perth on 9 February and costs $2,545 per person, twin share. Seniors Coach Tours also offers a five day package ex Melbourne departing 8 February at $1,285 per person, twin share.
Opera in the Caves is only accessible by an open staircase and is not suitable for travellers requiring mobility aids or who cannot climb stairs.
