New hotel to make history in Presidio

The Inn at the Presidio says it will offer an experience once reserved for ‘top brass’

San Francisco’s historic Presidio Park will welcome its first ever hotel next year with the opening of The Inn at the Presidio in April.

The only new hotel to open in San Francisco in 2012, the property will feature just 22 guest rooms, 17 of which will be one-bedroom suites, and will be operated by Waterford Hotels and Inns, on behalf of the Presidio Trust.

Room rates, ranging from US$195 to $350 per night, will include a daily continental breakfast buffet and a wine and cheese reception.

Located on the northern edge of San Francisco, with views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Area, and the Pacific Ocean, the Presidio operated as a military base from 1776 until 1994, when it was handed over to the National Park Service for commercial and public use.
