Harbour Town has renewed its strong relationship with inbound tourism operators after re-signing as a 12-month Premium Corporate Partner of the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC), Australia’s peak industry body representing the tourism export sector.
The partnership, which began in July 2010, reinforces the vital role that Harbour Town– Australia’s leading outlet and specialty shopping destinations with major outlets on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide – play in Australia’s $24 billion tourism export sector.
“We are very pleased to have renewed our partnership with ATEC, which provides valuable industry services and represents the best interests of Australia’s tourism export industry,” Harbour Town National Marketing & Tourism Manager Ms Angela Gore says.
“Our partnership is an exciting opportunity for Harbour Town to raise brand awareness in the tourism trade market and to reinforce our position as a top tourist destination at our four locations.”
Harbour Town will attend two key events in the coming months including ATEC Meeting Place 2011 in Sydney from December 6 to 8 and ATEC Symposium 2012, attended by more than 500 inbound tourism professionals, on the Sunshine Coast from May 1 to 4 next year.
ATEC Managing Director Felicia Mariani said ATEC’s partnership with Harbour Town was extremely important for the organisation.
“Retail experience is an important part of Australia’s tourism offering to the international market, particularly for those visitors from growing markets in Asia and the Middle East,” Ms Mariani said.
“ATEC is pleased to be partnering with Harbour Town which offers premium services catering specifically to the international visitor, helping to make Australia an attractive destination.”
As well as attracting tourists from all over the world, Harbour Town’s four locations provide tourism lounges and special benefits such as a Tourism Club Card offering even further discounts across a range of brands.
Shopping at Harbour Town is also an ideal choice for leisure or free day activities and partner programmes on conference, convention and business travel itineraries with Harbour Town offering:
A range of shopping programs, including full or half-day tours with refreshments or lunch, are available with programs tailored to suit specific needs.
